My Princess Life fabric started shipping to stores earlier this year. I went down a rabbit hole the other day while on Craftsy. I was just planning on sharing with you these nifty princess life fat quarters they have, but found a few really cool projects that I wanted to share with you. On top of all the goodness I found, they’re currently having a 50% off sale on these fabrics and projects. So happy sewing + shopping!
1. Princess Life Sparkling Throw Quilt Kit. This quilt is what my dreams are made of. The Princess Life fabrics are showcased so lovely with all the yummy kona solids. The kit includes the pattern and fabric!
2. Princess Life Fat Quarters. Pre-cuts make sewing projects so much easier. Coordinating Remix prints and kona solids are mixed in these fat quarter bundles. To see more pictures head here. (They also have a 2 3/4 yard of the crown fabric here.)
3. Princess Life Carriage Appliqué Wall Hanging Quilt. This would be so sweet in a room. It’s the right amount of fun and sweetness for you little girl’s room. The wall hanging is 38 x 38. Included in the kit is a pattern, as well as the fabric.

For this free tutorial, we used my Rainbow Remix fabric. The free tutorial is at the bottom of the post.
I have several new party invitations that I have designed for Tiny Prints and I was more than excited to add a slumber party card to the mix! I’ve designed a slumber party invite before. But, I designed a new slumber party invitation that would be suited for year round parties. This collection also comes with custom gift tags stickers, address labels, and thank you cards. I’ve also included a couple of pictures of things that inspired me for this invite below.
We had a sewing tutorial for the cat mask. However, due to technical problems, we lost the tutorial.
Funny little slippers are a must for slumber parties!
These little stickers would look so good on a party favor bag for your sleepover guests! Find the party invitation and coordinating pieces here:

Free apron tutorial by Veronica at Sew Very.
One of the things that’s really neat about this apron, are the straps. You can adjust the length of the apron by pulling on the straps. You can also make the straps long enough to tie in the front as we did. Find the free tutorial below. Happy Sewing!
(This year I’m sharing monthly illustrations of The Girl Friends. See all of them here: January / February / March / April / May / June / July / August/September)
Umm, how is it already the last day of October? For this month’s illustration, the girl’s gathered together to pick pumpkins, while dressed in costumes.

“Made for You” is a new fabric group that is shipping to stores this month. This fabric group is all about tags and labels that you can use in your handmade projects. “Made for You” comes in three color ways. Within each color way, the tags come in lots of different colors, shapes, sizes and styles. I hope you enjoy incorporating these labels into your sewing projects. Below are some example of using the labels. On many of the labels there’s space where you can use a fabric pen to personalize a message. You can view Made for You fabric here on the Robert Kaufman website.

Some of the best tutorials are simple, quick and at the end of them you have cute stuff that you can share with family and friends. We found the Baby Hat tutorial from Zaaberry. The Knotted Baby Head Tie tutorial is by How Does She. A few sewing tips from Lindsay: I used a Serger as shown in the hat tutorial for clean edges, but you can also use a regular sewing machine since knit fabrics won’t fray. Both tutorials are suitable for beginners! Have fun with the ears. You can cut different shapes (bear, cat, rabbit, etc.). Be creative!

I have a few new Halloween goodies that I designed for Tiny Prints. Enjoy this new design. There’s also a coordinating address label, thank you card and gift tags. It’s also available as a kids classroom card. (I also have this fun hayride design!).
Every princess needs a quilt, a “princess” quilt that is. This quilt is really adorable and I am so happy that my “Princess Life” fabric line gets to be apart of it . . . my yellow plus signs from the “Remix” collection also make an appearance. This quilt was designed by Amanda of The Craft Junky. Don’t miss out on the fun, you can make a quilt for yourself or the little or big princess in your life, you can find the free pattern here.

For this month’s illustration, the girl’s gathered together to take a ballet class.

I would like to introduce you to my new Remix Wide fabric. There are several exciting things about this Remix Wide fabric. Typically, the average fabric roll width is 44″ inches, but the Remix Wide fabric collection width is 108″ inches wide. Huge, right? Secondly, this print comes in six colors, one of which is pink (and you know how I adore pink).

I am so happy to introduce you to this fun drawstring bag pattern. This such a fun and simple project! These bags can be made big or small, but at any size they are extremely cute. For this project we used fabric from the Ann Kelle “This and That” fabric collection. Find the free drawstring bag pattern here. We use Spring Gems, Adventure Sneakers, and Adventure Purses for the fabrics in this project. And they can all be found here on the Robert Kaufman website. Happy Sewing!
I’m so happy to share with you my new Urban Zoologie Minis! The Urban Zoologie Minis are a miniature version of the regular Urban Zoologie collection. The characters in the mini collection are on an average about an inch smaller than characters in the regular Urban Zoologie collection. (There’s a picture below for reference). This collection has thirteen fabrics, featuring pups, ducks, and cats. These new Urban Zoologie Minis will be available in November, just a month before Christmas (hint, hint).
I’m so happy to share with you my new Urban Zoologie prints. This will be my 6th Urban Zoologie release! For this release, I added pups, ducks and new little kitties. These prints will ship to stores in October. Enjoy the pics!

My Girl Friends fabrics are now available in precuts! You can get a bundle of ALL of the Girl Friends collection . . . mermaids, princesses, fairies, ballerinas and careers! The bundle comes with 13 pieces, which includes 2 panel prints (pictured below, but without the panels). There’s also a 10 inch square set that includes 3-4 pieces of every print. The 10 inch squares are so convenient because you can quickly cut them into four sets of charm squares, quick strips or even half-square triangle. “Yay” for precuts!
I have been meaning to share this quilt with you forever. My quilting friend, Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts, made this gorgeous quilt for me. Julie was one of the first friends I made in the quilting industry. I was new to the quilting community (a bit shy) and kinda felt like the new kid in school that didn’t know where to sit at lunch time. Well, Julie, reached out to me almost immediately with support and encouragement. So, having my very own Jaybird Quilt is pretty sweet in my book! This quilt was made using her “Toes in the Sand” pattern. It’s such a fun quilt. Enjoy the pics! And thank you, Julie!
When making the quilt, Julie asked for my favorite three colors. I chose pink (duh), yellow and blue.
I have a quilt in just about every room of my house. I keep this quilt in my living room for sofa snuggling. (more…)

The girls headed to the beach for my July illustration of the “Girl Friends”! Swim, surf, build sandcastles, play in the sand, repeat.
