Who’s ready for NEW fabric? My newest fabric collection “Campground Critters” with Robert Kaufman Fabrics is here! I’ve wanted to work on a camping collection for several years now. I don’t know if it’s my love of being in nature or one of my 80s favorite movies (any guesses?) that influenced this collection. But, it’s full of playful illustrations that I hope make you smile. There are at total of 11 prints with designs ranging from animals, s’mores, mushrooms, camping food, trees, badges and more. Campground Critters is now available for wholesale store orders through Robert Kaufman Fabrics. Enjoy the fabric and I can’t wait to see what you make with it.
My I-Spy panels are in stores now. And it’s been a treat seeing all of the things being made with the panels. I was tagged by Beth Tobin on Instagram to see the adorable playmat she made for her grand baby using my I-Spy panel. She used For the Love of Fabric’s Bliss PDF Quilt Pattern, with a few modifications (listed below). It turned out so ADORABLE that I had to have one myself. For the back, we used Shannon Fabric’s Cuddle dimple fabric in canary yellow. It makes it extra soft. Find links to the pattern and fabric information below. Happy Sewing!
Pattern: For the Love of Fabric’s Bliss PDF Quilt Pattern Fabric: I Spy Panel, Cuddle dimple fabric in canary yellow and coordinating fabrics
Modifications: Beth used 3.5 inch squares for the I spy blocks and cut the squares for the half square ones at 4″ and trimmed down to 3.5 once sewn.
Hello, Summer! My friends over at The Children’s Corner have the cutest patterns. I was in their store and saw this adorable romper sewing pattern, The Bailey. I think the best part is the ruffles on the back. We made it using my “streamers” fabric print from my Girl Friends (party theme) collection. Shop the pattern here.
The Children’s Corner is a local children’s fabric stores here in Nashville, Tennessee. Not only do they have the sweetest fabrics, but they also have some ridiculously cute sewing patterns for children. Using their Tate sewing pattern, we made a jacket using my owls from my Penned Pals fabric collection. We used red buttons to add a splash of color. This preppy jacket can be made for girls or boys, with different length options. Shop the pattern here.
Happy 2018! I hope the new year is off to a great start for you! I have several new fabric collections in 2018. (Yay!) First up, we’re re-releasing some of your favorite Urban Zoologie fabrics (including minis) in new, fresh colors. There are a total of 8 fabrics. They ship to stores in March 2018. Take a peak below.
My Back To School fabric collection started shipping to stores July 20th . . . just in time for your back to school sewing! (To see the full collection, head this post.). Here are a few back to school projects by Sew Sweetness to kick off the new school year. Both bags are insulated lunch bags! (I could see the smallest one working as a snack bag or a school supply bag!) Happy Sewing!
One of the things that’s really neat about this apron, are the straps. You can adjust the length of the apron by pulling on the straps. You can also make the straps long enough to tie in the front as we did. Find the free tutorial below. Happy Sewing!
Every princess needs a quilt, a “princess” quilt that is. This quilt is really adorable and I am so happy that my “Princess Life” fabric line gets to be apart of it . . . my yellow plus signs from the “Remix” collection also make an appearance. This quilt was designed by Amanda of The Craft Junky. Don’t miss out on the fun, you can make a quilt for yourself or the little or big princess in your life, you can find the free pattern here.
A new fabric collection that will be shipping to stores this month is “This and That.” This will be the third release for this collection (1,2). “This and That” is all about my favorite things. It comes in two main color stores (Adventure and Spring), with 3 selected prints in solo color ways. I hope you enjoy it! I can’t wait to see what you make with this new fabric group.
As always, it was hard narrowing down the color options (especially on the tennis shoe print). I had a bunch of fun drawing these sneakers.
You’re a gem! (Just in case you didn’t know) The jewel prints is one of my favorites.
The new prints include tennis shoes, jewels, handbags and bows. The one above is the Spring color way.
I kinda have a thing for tennis shoes, especially mint green shoes.
This is the adventure color way. (The jewel print is actually in the “ruby” color way, but I thought it looked good with the other fabrics.)
Bows make an appearance in this fabric collection. You know how I adore bows . . . for proof, see here, here and here. I’m thinking it’s time for another “bow” tutorial in honor of my admiration.
Patterned purses and clutches are always great! West Oak Design made this clutch out of my Remix triangle fabric. Totally smitten!

As we approach Thanksgiving, I’ve been thinking about all of the things that I am thankful for. I realized one of the things I am very thankful for are my blog readers. So, I thought it would be a good time to thank you for being a supporter of Ann Kelle. So, for the next three weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, I’ll be giving away fabric! I am calling this “The Great Giveaway”! Each week it will be something different.
Our first giveaway is for 19 yards of Urban Zoologie flannel. Yes, friends, 19 yards!!! In the coming weeks, some other things we’ll be giving away are Urban Zoologie panels, fat quarter bundles and more! The first giveaway starts today (yes, right now) so enter below. The deadline to enter is Sunday, November 16th at midnight. Don’t miss your chance to win some “great” stuff.
Celebrations are big around here! Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary or someone just had a REALLY great day, we like to take time to celebrate. Thankfully, now I have these cute fabric party hats on hand in the studio. We used my Remix fabrics and Kona solids in these fun hats, which are suitable for adults and kids. Find the free tutorial here and party on!
Another new fabric release coming out soon is Cool Cords. Yep, more of the soft, comfy corduroy. Included in this group are my cats and new foxes. I also drew some simple tulips, a new chevron pattern and houndstooth. Are you ready for Fall? I see lots of cute Fall jumpers and skirts in the future. This fabric collections ships to stores in August.
A great thing about this fabric group is that you can mix and match the prints.
We included my current color crush of purple in many of these designs.
There are three different options for houndstooth in the cords, multi color, blue on white and black on white.
A surprising little detail in the chevrons are the little dots within the lines. Hope you enjoy the sneak peek! These prints will be in stores soon!
Today I’m so happy to share with you my new Urban Zoologie prints which include six new animals. I can’t believe this will be our 5th Urban Zoologie release. Every animal that I drew for this group has a story behind it, from the Mr. Frog to Mother Hen. When I see the little critters, my memory is instantly filled with the story behind the design. I love it when I can trace back to why or when I drew something. This group ships to stores in October.
We’ve added new prints and colors to my Remix collection. Remix has well over 100 prints and it continues to be one of my favorite lines. This release we’re adding two new prints, houndstooth and crosses. We’re also adding more colors options for the dots and hearts. I’m planning on hosting a giveaway on Instagram today. So, head over there for more details.
The cassette tapes is one of my fabric prints from the Beatbox collection. So, I was pretty excited when they made a bag out of it. The Robert Kaufman team worked with Amanda to make this cool messenger bag. Make your own with this free pattern.
Another fabric collection being released this month is, Wonder. I’m so excited about this fabric line! Wonder is a place full of happy. I’m a child of the 80s, which I’m sure has a lot to do with my inspiration behind this line. I remember loving unicorns as child, but I have to be honest . . . I’m still a big fan. This happy fabric collection ships to stores this month.
I’m so happy to share with you my new fabric collection, “Beatbox.” The inspiration behind this line comes from my childhood. My Dad worked for a radio station for over 30 years. He started out spinning records but went on to do everything from managing a radio station to being a radio talk show personality. Needless to say, we grew up surrounded by music and developed an early appreciation of music. As children, my sister and I played “DJ”. We had a microphone and would make mix tapes, which would include us introducing the songs, interviewing make-believe guests, reading the news and other silly antics. We also had a mini record player and a boom box, as well as a bunch of little musical instruments. I remember visiting the station (sometimes we got to be in the commercials!), going to concerts, etc. (The first concert I remember attending is Kool and the Gang when I was four.) Music was a huge part of my childhood and I’m honored I get to share this through my artwork. “Beatbox” is being released this month. This line features boom boxes, cassette tapes, and headphones. It’s available in two fun color ways.
Above are some of the records from my sister and my collection. I still have the huge box of the records we played as a kid.
We add two new slicker prints. I was so happy that we were able to add my ballet flats, which is also available in cotton fabric. This is one of my favorite prints.
I’m so happy to share with you my new Remix metallic fabric. For my stationery designs, I’ve been incorporating lots of metallics and glitter, so I was excited we were able to add this texture to fabric. Robert Kaufman has also added metallic to their Spot On collection. I’m a huge fan of shiny + glittery textures, and can’t wait to use this fabric in upcoming holiday projects. This was also the fabric that was used on my settee at Quilt Market. It looked so cute! This fabric is already in stores.
I’m so happy to share with you the rest of my new Remix flannel prints, which includes dots and chevrons. We also have the Remix flannel argyle, which I shared with you a couple months ago. They’re so colorful and cheerful. My Mom said it’s supposed to be a really cold winter, so this cozy flannel fabric couldn’t have come at a better time. Many stores are already stocking them, such as The Quilt Patch, Fabric.com and several etsy stores. Enjoy the pictures!
Kelly made this adorable quilt. Kelly came up with the design of the quilt. We used the Ballerinas (“sweet” color way) as the primary fabric, mixed with coordinating Kona solids.
