Back to school time is just around the corner! We gathered some fun inspiration and back to school tutorials to help get you ready! I hope everyone has a wonderful school year!
Although I’m not in school any longer, I still like to participate in back to school supply shopping. This year, I got a couple of new supplies at Poppin. They’re all so colorful! And their crayons are so unique.

Our friend, Sherri at Thread Riding Hood, has made this super, awesome back pack tutorial. It’s SO cute. The bold pink and blue is so fun with The Girl Friends Princess line. She did such a great job! Head over to Thread Riding Hood to get the full tutorial and make a back pack for the special little one in your life.

Today I’m sharing with you the last tutorial from my back to school sewing series. Although I don’t think drawstring bags would be the best for toting around heavy books, they’re perfect for holding light weight items. This would be perfect for pre-K and Kindergarten students. We made two options – patchwork or stripes. There’s also a pocket on the inside of the bag. You can find the free tutorial here. A special thanks to Brooke for writing all the back to school tutorials!

It was always fun to pick out a new lunch box for school. Brooke and I worked together to create this free lunch bag tutorial. There’s several options for the lunch box. You could include slicker on the inside, so you can wipe it done or you could put cotton in the inside and out so you can throw it in the washing machine. Find the tutorial here.

Schools started a week ago. Yes, you read that correctly. (My Mom actually had to return to school July 31st!) In honor of the the new school year, I have lined up a series of back to school tutorials. First up, is a pencil case tutorial. Remember this little guy I made? Well, pencil cases were always one of the things on my back to school list. So, Brooke came up with this easy, breezy tutorial. Find it here.
You can always use slicker fabric on the inside to help with durability.
